An iterative method with quartic convergence for solving nonlinear equations

Published in Applied Mathematics and Computation, 2008

This paper derives a three-step iterative scheme for the numerical solution of nonlinear equations and establishes its fourth-order (quartic) convergence. Numerical comparisons with classical Newton-type methods illustrate the improved rate of convergence.
